Welcome! I’m Charlotte Wilde—writer, creator, and lifelong practitioner of the craft.

I’ve been steeped in witchcraft since my preteens, and after years of exploring, experimenting, and evolving, I’ve settled into my role as a storyteller and guide. While I tend to keep to myself, I love sharing my perspective with those carving out their own magical path.

My book, Eclectic Witchcraft: Old Ways for Modern Magick, is a reflection of my approach—deeply rooted yet adaptable, blending old wisdom with modern practice. You might also know me from my former podcast, Cosmic Cauldron, where my cohost and I explored the mysteries of the craft. The full catalog is still available for those who love a good deep dive. I also ran Eclectic Charge, where I peddled magical goodies to fellow practitioners.

Some witches follow specific traditions, while others practice eclectically. There’s no one “right” way, only what works for you.

Do I need specific tools to practice witchcraft?

No. Tools like candles, crystals, herbs, and wands can amplify intention, but they are not required. Your mind, willpower, and energy are your most powerful tools. If you want to add physical elements, start with what you already have—kitchen spices, a journal, and a candle work just fine.

Is witchcraft dangerous?

Witchcraft is as safe or risky as the person practicing it. Just like cooking or working with fire, intention and awareness matter. Casting spells without understanding energy dynamics, doing workings when emotionally unstable, or ignoring ethical considerations can have unintended consequences.

Can anyone be a witch?

Yes. Witchcraft is a practice, not an exclusive club. Anyone willing to learn, experiment, and develop their craft can be a witch. No lineage, initiation, or permission is required—only dedication.

How do I start practicing witchcraft?
